"全球契約"于2000年7月在聯(lián)合國總部正式啟動。"全球契約計(jì)劃"號召各公司遵守在人權(quán)、勞工標(biāo)準(zhǔn)、環(huán)境及反貪污四個(gè)方面的十項(xiàng)基本原則。截止2018年4月，全球有通用電氣，巴斯夫，雀巢等共計(jì)9714家組織與企業(yè)加入，中國本土?xí)䥺T企業(yè)有萬科集團(tuán)，華為，首鋼集團(tuán)等。
